January Roster Memo
January Roster Memo
Dear LifeGroup Leaders,
Thank you for the terrifically significant role that you have played in our Kingdom Next campaign. Your leadership at the home level makes such a difference in the church. I want to personally thank you for leading discussions about what we are doing and encouraging participation. We don’t yet know what the outcome will be, but you have led in a great way.
One of our goals is to grow our leaders. We want you to grow as followers of Jesus and in your skills and capacities to lead others to follow Jesus. With that in mind, please mark your calendars for two very special events. These two events will be the bulk of our training for LifeGroup couples this year. THIS IS DIFFERENT FROM ANY TRAINING WE HAVE EVER DONE. So please plan to be present for both. I am asking you—all of you—to arrange your schedule or even change your schedule so that you can be a part of these two experiences.
First, LifeGroup Leader continuing education begins Wednesday, February 16 in the chapel. A six week training class for current, former and potential LifeGroup leaders will be taught by leaders in the
Second, the annual LifeGroup Leader Retreat is April 8-10. This is the week after Stream in the Desert, but I still want to strongly urge you to attend. We don’t know yet where we will be going, but please plan to be available beginning Friday night through Sunday noon.
On this roster report, please indicate whether you will 1) attend the Wednesday training and 2) attend the retreat.
By the way, welcome Howard Farr to our LifeGroup team. He will be chasing down the reports from those of you who don’t turn in your reports by next Wednesday (February 9). Please be diligent in reporting. His job is to make contact with those who are lax in getting their reports in. We are really working hard to know our numbers. It really helps us to keep up with people who might be slipping through the cracks. It also helps us keep a kind of thermometer on the overall health of our groups.
